City Lights Paranormal Society

The Bryan House Investigation

Picture
On November 14th, City Lights Paranormal Society will be heading back to the Altoona, PA, area to investigate the very old Bryan House Bed & Breakfast. What shadows hide in this mysterious building? Could it be the descendants of the original owners who are burried in the cemetery next door? Hopefully time will tell!

The Southern Mansion Investigation

Picture
Undoubtedly, The Southern Mansion is one of America's finest historical preservations. Its old Victorian structure has been standing unharmed since 1863. Built by Capt. George Allen and passed down to his remaining family until affairs drove it into the hands of strangers, the mansion is said to be haunted by his niece, Esther. Esther was the last direct descendant of Mr. Allen. After she passed away in 1946, her husband sold the estate and it left the family for good. Since then, the mansion has been subjected to some cruel and unfortunate abuse, but remains standing today. The building is now under new ownership and has been restored to its original elegance. But why does it appear to have lingering grief? Could it be the restless spirits from the time when the mansion was used as a boarding house? Records show that in this period, the building was left to run down and soon was declared inhabitable. Perhaps the spirits of The Southern Mansion are trying to tell their story. Well, on November 17th, they will have their chance to be heard when CLPS sets up to deliver answers to these unusual claims. We can only hope that if Esther still resides in the building, she will allow us to spend the night with her in what was once her home.
