Mission Statement:
City Lights Paranormal Society is determined to assist and educate all who experience unexplainable phenomena. Through extensive research and thorough investigations, we hope our findings and the things we learn can be passed on to provide answers and comfort, first and foremost, to those most in need. We want everyone to know that they are not alone and that here, at CLPS, someone is always ready to listen and help. As a group, CLPS feels that a majority of what appears to be paranormal activity can be explained otherwise, although, our dream is to document unearthly activity. With the multitude of skill sets each investigator brings to the team, we do our best to decipher the difference. As our own persons, we are studiers; but, as a society, we are coaches.
About CLPS:
City Lights Paranormal Society is a non-profit paranormal research group specializing in proving/disproving claims of a haunting. Non-profit means that we do not charge our clients when we come in to investigate their claims. While donations toward gas and equipment use are always greatly appreciated, they are not mandatory. Our cause is simple. With an array of specialized equipment and a group of trained individuals, each who possesses his/her specific set of skills, CLPS looks for answers. We study the paranormal because we believe it exists, but we approach the field with an open mind and rule out what most consider ghostly activity. We look for legitimate proof. Basically, our clients seek answers and proof, so that is our main goal… to come in and provide answers and/or proof to what they feel might be going on. While collecting evidence and furthering our education in the paranormal field is exciting, our client is always our number one priority.
What Happens on a Case?:
City Lights Paranormal Society tries to limit our cases to one per month because each case takes approximately one month from start to finish. From the time we book a case, we need a minimum of two weeks in order to conduct thorough research on the building and surrounding area on topics including, but not limited to: soil content, locations of bodies of water, area history, building materials, history of the building, history of the people associated with the building and surrounding area, and any on-site confirmed deaths. Following our research, our team of highly qualified investigators spends about 7 hours alone in the building investigating overnight, in the dark. We utilize specialized equipment such as K2 meters, EMF detectors, thermo meters, infrared cameras, night shot video recorders, EVP recorders, and still digital photos, among other things. At the conclusion of the investigation, we walk away with anywhere from 60-100 hours worth of footage to review over the next two weeks. The review process is a long procedure that requires dedication and the ability to pay close attention to the finest details. After reviewing the footage and making final, group endorsed decisions regarding the evidence, we contact the owner to set up a reveal date. At the reveal, we return to the building, sit down with the owner, and explain our findings, if any. At this time, we also explain in-detail the research we uncovered. At the conclusion of the reveal we request that the owner signs a disclaimer giving us permission to post portions of the entire investigation process in documentary form, the story and our findings on our website and, if the location is confirmed haunted, to include it in our upcoming book, City Lights Paranormal Society: Confirmed Hauntings. It is our goal to leave our clients happy and satisfied. We are always available before, during, and after an investigation if anyone ever has any questions, concerns, or problems.
